MINUTES OF THE PARISH MEETING which took place on Wednesday 15th May 2024 at 7pm in St. Joseph the Worker Church, Worksop. Many thanks to all who attended the Parish Meeting on Wednesday 15th May and who submitted their written responses. These have now been collated and can be viewed below as the Parish Meeting Minutes. They will be sent to our Vicar General and Bishop Ralph for the Council of Priests’ Meeting; as well as discussed at the Bassetlaw and Chesterfield Deanery Meeting on 11th June 2024. I think the meeting went well with many good contributions. There was general agreement that the first action points are to re-establish the various committees that existed before the pandemic lockdown such as the Property Committee, the Finance Committee and the Social and Fundraising Committee with the caveat that these would be more action than words. Connected to this was the need for improved communications on a more regular basis about the state of the Parish and how the work of the various Committees is progressing. We had a couple of volunteers at the meeting already which is great, and I hope that many more will join them in volunteering their time and talents whether on a regular basis in a Committee or for various tasks when the need arises.
